I made it clear right before I went to bed that I wouldn’t get up early in the morning and I didn’t because it’s Luke’s 21st birthday. We ate breakfast (pancakes) at around 11 o’clock, and then we decided it was time to run because we didn’t the day before. We got on the ferry again and headed into town so we could run, shower, and do laundry.
We ran on a 5km trail for about 45 minutes, then went to a salt water pool (the only pool in Dawson City). After we swam and all had showers, Mom and Dad dropped the kids off at the information centre to use the wifi for school work, and they went and did laundry.
After the fun math lessons, we went to a park and ate Luke’s limited edition carrot birthday cake with a crap load of cream cheese icing…
The decision to drive up to the dome and not hike up was greatly appreciated by my stomach after eating all that cake and icing. The dome is just a look out on the top of a very big hill, (kinda like Mt. Swansea).
Thankfully there was an art walk in town because the Drunken Goat was full. (yeh art walk!!!!!….–_–) We walked around the town looking at different art exhibits, drawing self portraits and stuffing ourselves with free food. And finally after an hour, the Drunken Goat was all ours (Greek restaurant,) and man, was it delicious…!
We got back and went straight to bed because somehow we were all tired (except for Jake, he was full of energy as always…).
