The run didn’t happen in the morning; we decided we wanted to run in Dawson City, which didn’t happen (yeh!!!).
We drove for 2 or 3 hours, yet it still felt like 5 hours.
We stopped at Chicken along the way. Chicken is probably one of the smallest towns in the world, with the population of 15 in the winter and 30 in the summer. We ate at the Chicken Creek Cafe while we were there, and took pictures in front of the giant metal chicken that was there.
We finally made it to Dawson City,Yukon. We are back in Canada!!
We settled into the Yukon River Campground, ate some gross burritos, then went to the ferry to cross the Yukon river. We waited for half an hour before we got onto the ferry, which was literally a fairly small platform that takes 6-8 cars across the river.
We headed straight to the information centre for a passport stamp and wifi. Dad and Mom dropped us off and we got to work on our school work. I didn’t really get a good look around the town which I would have liked, but we still have a while here considering the road to the Tombstone Mountains is flooded and that was our next stop.
The evening was made up of singing, playing guitar, and roasting marshmallows after dinner. It was a good night till Dad started being annoying.
